With the turn of the century (in the year 2000), digital technologies and cultures became ubiquitous. We now live in mediated environments enabled by digital technologies. From the most advanced AI to the most commonly available Internet connections, we navigate our world in person and online viaextremely small, powerful, and portable compute devices that we call ‘phones.’ We carry these digital systems with us almost everywhere we go. Digital Artists make Art from all of these materials and experiences. Digital Art reflects on and shapes our actual lives in present times.
