on 5 June 2017, we were on location, #OutWest, in #Colorado, wrapping location shooting for my experimental feature film 鬼鎮 (Ghosttown), a Glitch Western. we (Emily Mercedes Rich, 愛真 Ei Jane Janet Lin, Marcus Thinh Anthony Thibodeau, and myself) had our wrap dinner at Edelweiss Restaurant to celebrate Österreichische-ness
2 years later, on 5 June 2019, in the heart of Hollywood, (a special excerpt edit of) 鬼鎮 (Ghosttown) screened at at Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions / LACE alongside my friend and inspiration Vanalyne Green, as well as other excellent artists’ work. Vanalyne’s amazing Feminist Video Art work, Saddle Sores, is a direct inspiration on my work and she appears in 鬼鎮 (Ghosttown) as The Voice of the Future Cowgirl, a character based on Vanalyne herself and specifically based on her performance of herself in Saddle Sores
on 5 June 2018, i collected “Vintage playing cards of pretty palomino pinto horse and pinup for your cowboy…” #鬼鎮
&& on 5 June 2012, a predictive analysis algorithm correctly recommended “Gritty Westerns from the 1950s” to me #forever… ∞
