BURN’N AI Glitch TRASH ART at the Glitch Art Gallery for Winter Solstice

@joncates, founder of the Glitch Art Galery, writes via Twitter (on THURS JAN 5th 2023) announcing that the AI Glitch TRASH ART works of 拜拜 (Li Bye-Bye), Glitch Art Gallery Atelier Artist in Residence, are now ‘burnt’.
* burning NFTs refers to the process of removing (ie ‘burning’) a certain number of available instances on the tokens. in this case, burning is part of the process in which a larger edition becomes smaller and more exclusive to those who collected during the time of its original availability. these artworks were first minted for the TEZTRASH TRASHART event during the Winter Solstice of 2022 in late DEC:

+why burn today?
here in 台北,台灣 (Taipei, Taiwan) where we at the Glitch Art Gallery @glitchartgllry are based:
冬至 (Dongzhi [extreme of winter]) is our Winter Solstice observation && celebration! we eat 湯圓 (tangyuan), a sweet soups wit cute lil pink && white balls

we eat these bc their name, 湯圓 (tangyuan), sounds like the word: 團圓 (reunion). this makes for family gatherings together around these sweet soups, served as desert, a heartwarming event at the peak (aka ‘extreme’) of wintertimes

while not as haunted as Ghost Month of the 鬼月 (Ghost Moon) in the 開鬼門 (the Seventh Month), 冬至 (Dongzhi [Winter Solstice]) is still haunted enough to be considered a Ghost Festival!
