Alphabet just updated my access to Bard, switching over to their Gemini, saying: “Bard is now Gemini The best way to get direct access to Google Al All the capabilities you know and love are still here, and will keep getting better in the Gemini era Learn how your data is handled in the Gemini Apps Privacy Hub”
this reminds me of the fact that Alphabet recently faked Gemini’s capabilities in their “The capabilities of multimodal AI | Gemini Demo” video from ~2 months ago:
generally, in business technology news, people didnt seem to cover this, however, in the AI news that i follow Matt Wolfe did cover this in his video “Google Lied To Us! (And Other AI News)” here:
Alphabet’s stock prices were, as far as i know, from following generally, was positively effected by their Gemini announcements despite that fact that they faked the video. back in early December of 2023, i felt that Alphabet had intentionally misled us (lied) in order to assert their aspirations for their now announced “Gemini Era”
as we could predict, i would need to upgrade my Google One plan to get Gemini Advanced
i would get the 1rst 2 months free then pay $19.99 per month for Gemini Advanced
they explain the advantages of this subscription as:

in particular im most interested in using Gemini in Gmail, Docs, and more… still, paying $19.99 per month feels expensive… so long Bard, was good to know ya
